I do not intend to tell you the long history of my company and of my family, but we must admit that this history has given us an informed insight into the history of silk. No one better than Sir Carlo Job could have taken on the task of gathering what is perhaps an internationally unique collection of the machinery adopted over the years by the silk industry — from spinning and throwing to weaving — in the most suitable place for it, Garlate.
